First Symposium Responsible Societies Coalition

The first symposium of the Responsible Societies Coalition will take place on Monday October 3 from 14:00 till 18:00 hours. The symposium wants to provide a first meet-up forum where researchers involved in projects related to the coalition get to know each other, and update each other on activities so far implemented by the five projects awarded seed funding.

  1. Towards climate-proof cities with innovative blue-green infrastructures
  2. Reducing Scope 3 Emissions of Fossil Fuel Companies – Challenges, Opportunities and Research Gaps
  3. Towards a common research agenda on the socio-technical aspects of net-zero, sustainable data centres
  4. Grounding spatial sustainability education
  5. Plastic-free: a spatial-precision behavioural analysis to scale up consumers’ zero-plastic usage in vegetables and fruits groceries

The symposium also provides an opportunity for researchers to find areas their work can complement each other and create synergies with societal stakeholders and actors in the three themes of the coalition: net-zero, circularity and adaptability. It’s also an opportunity to meet and engage with the coalition leaders  Bart Koopman (UT) and Philipp Pattberg (VU-Amsterdam).
